An engaging and super fun workshop for girls ages 7-14 (older girls are welcome but the class is geared toward the youngers)
Participants will learn about their bodies and the mechanisms of physiologic birth as well as abnormal scenarios. Each girl will have an opportunity to practice hands on learning with training mannequins and will leave knowing what a normal birth looks like and how to help a baby who is in trouble. Content will be age appropriate and includes: Anatomy Normal Mechanisms of Labor Shoulder Dystocia Breech Birth Maneuvers Simplified Resuscitation Hemorrhage Control Hygiene and lots of fun and great conversation. We will be treating these future women as the smart little ladies they are and as such expect mature participation. Please only enroll your child if you are confident she will enjoy it and participate respectfully. **real images and videos of real birth will ABSOLUTELY be a part of this class** |
